2. The Struggle Of Rewinding A Videotape
The agony of having to wait for one of these to finish rewinding..
Boy, that was devastating, and the fight you have with your sibling when they record on your tape, making you lose it forever…
3. When Your Tamagotchi Dies
It was easy to slip it in your pocket and play with in class, and if a teacher caught you, he/she wouldn’t even know what this gadget could do.
Yeah, eventually we couldn’t take care of them anymore because we ran out of battery, but that’s besides the point.
4. MSN Chatting With Your Pals After School
Once upon a time, before Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp, our teen selves used to spend hours typing away in text boxes chatting to mates after school and on weekends. Using emojis wasn’t a piece of cake like today, you had to save every emoticon you saw on MSN.
5. Walkman/Discman
I do love my Ipod, but I guess part of why I love it so much is the horror I’ve been through before Steve jobs came out with this invention. 7. Using the Landline To Login to the Internet
The sounds of dial-up Internet, as if your computer was trying to communicate with aliens, and when you would at last get the Internet to connect, someone might pick up the damn phone…you know the rest.
8. Exchanging Floppy disks
“Getting the pictures and files out of the computer!!! Is that even possible???” A common question every kid asked at school when the coolest kid in class showed off his floppy disk. Magic.

10. A Single Landline For The Entire Family
Three common fights took place in every home when it came to the landline: waiting for someone to get off the line for you to use it, your sneaky little brother listening in to your call on the extension! And when the phone bill came… let’s just say things could get ugly.
If one of today’s kids travelled 10 years back in time, he/she might be dumbstruck with how unsophisticated and even primitive things were when it came to entertainment in comparison with today, but despite all that they were fun.
